About Us

Mulholland Minion Davey McNiff & Beyrer has recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. All of the principals of the firm, individually and in association, have been extensively involved in the specialized practice of negligence and insurance law, both at the trial and appellate levels, in the State and Federal courts.

Why us

The firm employs associate counsel, trial preparation experts, law student legal assistants and a competent staff of legal secretaries and paralegals.

Our staff is equipped and trained to handle the step-by-step procedures required in defense litigation, including all preliminaries and phases of discovery through the actual trial of an action, and appeal when necessary.

We have represented and have been assigned to represent the insureds of many casualty insurance companies, located in and out of New York State. In addition, we have represented some of the larger self-insured entities, both as attorneys of record and as trial and appellate counsel. We appear on a regular basis in Nassau, Suffolk, Bronx, Queens, Kings, New York and Westchester Counties.

The firm performs all phases of casualty and coverage litigation. Our practice areas include premises, automobile, trucking, products liability, construction defect, Labor Law, homeowner, marine liability, municipal liability, professional liability, including medical malpractice, legal, accounting and dental malpractice as well as errors and omissions matters.

In addition to defending suits under New York State Labor Law (actions based upon Labor Law 200, 240 and 241) the firm is well known for aggressively pursuing risk transfer on behalf of our clients by way of third party claims against other entities on construction projects, asserting contractual indemnity, contribution and insurance procurement, as well as prosecuting and defending Declaratory Judgment actions.

A complete list of the companies which the firm has represented, those companies which have entrusted us with the defense of their insureds, a schedule of fees, and any further particulars can be furnished upon request.

The principals of the firm are members of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Nassau Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Section of the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations. They have served as chairmen of committees of these Associations as well as lecturers and seminar faculty members for these and other groups dealing with problems in multiple areas of litigation and how they should be handled in the courts.
