Meet The Team


Brian R. Davey

Brian Davey is married, has two children and resides in Huntington, New York.


He received a B.S. in May of l979 from the University of Rhode Island.  In order to pay off his undergraduate loans, he accepted a position with the National Rail Passenger Corporation and thereafter entered St. John's University School of Law, Evening Division, in September of l983.  He received his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law and was admitted to practice in New York State in December of l987.  During that last two years of law school Brian was employed full-time by this firm as a legal assistant.


From December of l987 to December 1997, he was associated with Mulholland Minion & Roe, the predecessor to our firm, Mulholland Minion Davey McNiff & Beyrer.  Brian became a partner in the firm in January 1998 and became managing partner in September 2000.


Approximately 85% of Brian’s focus involves defending construction and NY Labor Law suits, sex abuse claims, medical and professional malpractice and general liability lawsuits. The balance of his practice is devoted to insurance coverage issues and appeals.


He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the American Association for Justice. He is on the Board of Directors of the Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association and the Defense Association of New York (DANY).

         

Brian was an adjunct professor of law at Touro Law School where he has taught Products Liability and Insurance Law courses.




John A. Beyrer

John Beyrer resides with his wife and three sons in Rockville Centre, New York.


He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Fordham University in June, 1988.  He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in June of 1994.  He was admitted to practice by the Second Department in February of 1995.  In May of 1995, he was admitted to practice before the Federal Courts for the Eastern District of New York and is now also admitted to practice before the Federal Courts for the Southern District of New York.  He is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar. He is also admitted and has argued appeals in the United State Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.


After graduation, he was appointed a Deputy County Attorney for the County of Nassau, where he was assigned to the Bureau of Torts and Civil Rights Litigation.  As a Deputy County Attorney, he engaged in all areas of litigation from inception through appeal.


In July of 1996, he became associated with the firm, where he has been actively involved in all phases of the firm's practice. John was made a partner in the firm in May of 2003. He has tried numerous cases for the firm.


John primarily handles the defense of construction injury lawsuits, products liability, municipal liability matters, defense of transportation entities, and legal malpractice suits; and, employment claims. 


He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Nassau Bar Association, Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association and the Defense Associates of New York (DANY).


He is a 35-year member of the Rockville Centre Volunteer Fire Department.  He is President of his Fire Department Company.  John is currently serving as General Counsel to the Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Day Parade.




Kevin R. McNiff

Mr. McNiff graduated cum laude with honors in his major from Queens College in 1992.  He thereafter graduated cum laude from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1995. 


Kevin was admitted to practice by the Appellate Division, Second Department, in February, 1996.  Additionally, he is admitted to practice in Connecticut.


He became an associate with the firm in June of 1997. Kevin was made a partner in the firm in May of 2003.  Approximately 85% of his practice is devoted to defending owners and contractors in New York State Labor Law actions, trucking, and automobile actions and as trial counsel in catastrophic injury cases. Many of these cases have gone to verdict. The remainder of this practice focuses on coverage issues that arise out of the cases he handles.


Kevin is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, New York County Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.




Robert L. Ryan, Jr.

Robert Ryan graduated in 1980 with a B.S. in Political Science and Masters of Public Administration from Long Island University, CW Post College. In 1984 he achieved a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and was admitted to practice law in 1985.


From 1984 to 1991, Bob worked as a legal assistant and associate attorney at Mulholland Minion & Roe, the predecessor to our firm. He subsequently left to start his own practice.


Bob was a founding member of Ryan & Henderson PC, a litigation firm he started in 1991. For over 20 years, his firm established a track record of successfully defending cases in Nassau, Suffolk Counties and the boroughs of New York City. The firm reorganized as Helwig, Henderson, Ryan, LaMagna & Spinola, LLP where Bob continued taking to trial complex medical malpractice, automobile and other personal injury related cases, many of which went to verdict.


In 2015, Bob had the privilege of re- joining Mulholland Minion Davey McNiff & Beyrer where he continues to devote his time to the defense of medical malpractice, automobile, trucking, premises and other personal injury related cases, resulting in several recent verdicts. 


In his 30 plus years of litigating cases, he has also perfected and argued numerous appeals before the Appellate Division.


Bob is admitted to practice law in the courts of state of New York including the U.S. Federal District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts. He is a member of the New York State and Nassau-Suffolk Trial Lawyers Associations as well as the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association, where he has been a member of several Committees.


He is active in his Community serving as a Board Member of the Chamber of Commerce, Historical Society, and Church Vestry and has coached youth sports. He resides with his wife in Levittown, New York and has two grown children.




John L. Marsigliano

John Marsigliano graduated Summa Cum Laude from Manhattan College in 1975 with a B.A. in Government/Political Science.  He received his J.D. degree in 1978 from St. Johns University School of Law.  He was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in January of 1979. He was admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts in 1979. 


Since May of 2018 he has been employed by Mulholland Minion Davey McNiff & Beyrer practicing in tort litigation including construction, premises, and automobile and general liability matters.  Before employment with Mulholland, Minion, Davey, McNiff & Beyrer he was employed with Chesney, Murphy & Moran, LLP/Chesney & Murphy, LLP/Chesney & Nicholas, LLP from 1991 to May, 2018 practicing in tort litigation including trial of construction, premises, automobile, products, general liability, legal and medical malpractice matters.


He began his employment with Mulholland Minion Davey McNiff & Beyrer in August of 2014 and is involved in all aspects of the litigation, including trials, of premises, auto accident, construction and Labor law cases.




Eric N. Bailey

Eric currently resides in Glen Cove, New York with his wife and two children.


He received his BAs in both Economics and Political Science in June of 1990 from the University of Rochester, where he interned with the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office.  He received his JD from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Hofstra Property Law Journal while serving as President of the school’s Mock Trial Group, in June of 1993.  He was admitted to practice in the State of New York in January 1994.


Eric has perfected and argued appeals in every Appellate Division in the State of New York.  His practice includes more than a decade’s experience in insurance coverage issues, from the rendering of coverage opinions to litigating coverage issues through the appellate courts.


Eric joined Mulholland, Minion Davey McNiff & Beyrer in 2015, bringing with him two decades of experience in the defense of personal injury and malpractice cases, including Labor Law, municipal liability, premises liability, automobile accident, and legal malpractice cases.  He has defended both manufacturers and construction companies in asbestos cases, as well as property owners in lead paint cases.


While handling a full caseload, Eric currently serves as the firm’s managing attorney, while overseeing a mentoring program for the firm’s junior associates.


Dina Awad

Dina Awad currently resides in East Meadow, New York. Through Hofstra University’s six-year Legal Education Accelerated Program, she earned her BA in Psychology and minors in English and Legal Studies in Business in 2013, with magna cum laude distinction, as well as her JD from Hofstra Law School in May of 2015, with magna cum laude distinction. 

 

In December of 2015, Dina was admitted to practice in the State Bar of New Jersey.  In April of 2016, she was admitted to practice law in the State of New York. She is a current member of the Nassau County Bar Association.


Dina Awad held positions at a plaintiff’s personal injury firm, general practice firm, the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, and Nassau County Juvenile Delinquency and Abuse and Neglect Units. She also served as a student attorney at the Hofstra Law Reform Advocacy Clinic where she prepared a civil rights case for trial in the Southern District of New York.


Thereafter, she worked as an associate attorney for an insurance defense firm specializing in no-fault matters. There, she handled a caseload of 600 no-fault litigations and arbitrations, which included preparing and arguing motions and arbitration submissions, drafting declaratory judgment actions as well as petitions to stay arbitrations for uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and preparing matters for trials.  

 

Dina began working at Mulholland, Minion, Davey, and McNiff & Beyrer in July of 2016. As a current senior associate, she is focused on defense litigation primarily concerning premises liability matters, including trip/slip and falls, intentional tort, and nuisance claims, vehicular accident litigations and Child Victims Act cases. She has perfected and orally argued Appeals, conducted depositions and has extensive motion practice experience.




Morgann C. McCarthy

Morgann McCarthy currently resides in Merrick, New York. Morgann graduated from Siena College in 2013, earning her BAs in American Studies and Spanish. While at Siena, Morgann was a Scholar Athlete with Academic Honors, and a member of the Mock Trial Team. Morgann graduated from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2016, earning her JD. While attending Hofstra University she was a member of the Moot Court Board and Trial Advocacy Association. Morgann was admitted to practice by the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York, in the Second Judicial Department, in 2019.


Morgann became an Associate with the firm in 2019. Her practice consists of construction and general tort litigation including labor law, personal injury, premises liability, and property damage. Morgann also assists trial counsel in catastrophic injury cases.


Prior to joining Mulholland, Minion, Davey, McNiff & Beyrer, Morgann was a law clerk at an international law firm concentrating on complex and technical industries, with a focus on underwriting areas including general liability and third party defense, and providing commercial insurers and reinsurers with coverage opinions and insurance coverage defense.


Morgann is a member of the New York State Bar Association.




Matthew Williams

Matthew Williams was born and raised in South Ozone Park, New York. He is a graduate of Chaminade High School. After High School, he graduated magna cum laude from Marist College with a major in Criminal Justice. After receiving his degree, he spent two years working for a Manhattan-based company performing criminal background investigations. He proceeded to attend law school at the University of Miami, graduating in 2009.


After graduation, Matt traveled to San Diego, California and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2009. Initially, he worked for a solo practitioner and gained invaluable litigation experience, including the ability to try numerous types of cases to verdict. After spending approximately five years in this position, a Florida-based litigation firm recruited Matt to manage their first office outside of Florida, based in downtown San Diego. While managing this office, he oversaw a full staff of junior attorneys, paralegals and investigators while handling a full caseload of his own.


In 2016, Matt made the decision to return to the New York City area. He gained admission to the bars of Massachusetts and New York upon his return. Matt spent the first two years working for an expanding firm in the financial district of New York City before joining Mulholland, Minion, Davey, McNiff & Beyrer in 2018.


His current focus is conducting depositions, attending arbitrations and trying cases across a wide-variety of areas, including labor law, premises liability and automobile accidents.



Lovedeep Sidhu

Lovedeep Sidhu was born in Elmhurst, New York and currently resides in Hicksville, New York.


Lovedeep graduated
cum laude from the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Financial Analysis. He received his JD from Albany Law School, where he was a member of the Student Bar Association and competed in the American Association for Justice, Student Trial Advocacy Competition. In June of 2021, he was admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey. In October of 2021, he was admitted to practice law in the State of New York.


Lovedeep joined Mulholland, Minion Davey McNiff & Beyrer in September of 2021, bringing experience working at Bloomberg Law and Ernst & Young. He has held positions working for the judiciary, criminal defense, general defense, city government, and personal injury firms.  Lovedeep’s work focuses on the defense of automobile accident, municipal liability, and premises liability cases.




Cyndi Lalanne

Cyndi Lalanne currently resides in Valley Stream, New York.  Cyndi graduated from St. Johns University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies and minors in Business Law and English in 2008. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg, Law Center and her Masters in Business Administration specializing in Finance and Marketing from C.W Post Long Island University in 2016.

 

During her time in law school, she was a member of the Trial Advocacy Program at Touro Law Center; and an editor of Touro Law’s Race and Gender Journal.  She was Vice President and student advocate for the Unemployment Acton Center, where she assist individuals with legal unemployment issues. She also served as a student attorney at the Touro Law Veterans Clinic where she assisted veterans with various tax and legal issues. 


Since graduation, she has held positions at personal injury defense firms, where she gained experience in construction, labor law, and motor vehicle cases.

 

In September of 2020, Cyndi was admitted to practice in the State of New York.  She is a current member of New York State Bar Association, and New York City Bar Association. 


Cyndi became an associate with the firm in October of 2021.  Cyndi’s practice focuses on motor vehicle cases, premises liability, and sex abuse claims. 


She is also an active member in her community as a gymnastics coach; and a member of her church’s Feed the Homeless program.  She also currently holds an executive board position within Xtended Grace Ministries Charity and assists in overseeing their Homeless Shelter program.
